The Bridgeton House on the Delaware was built in 1836 as a private residence along the Delaware River in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. The building has served as an luxury inn for many years, but throughout its long history has served as a general store, bakery, pool hall, real estate offices and apartments. The inn witnessed the Flood of 1903 in which the Delaware River swept away the wooden bridge that connected the village of Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania to Milford, New Jersey. In 1981, its present owners purchased the dormant building and brought it back to life, as a river front luxury inn .
