Briana Nicole Henry is an American actress that has been emerging into the spotlight since her excellent performances in General Hospital, Undateable, and Jane the Virgin.

Early and Personal Life
Briana was born on the 19th of January, 1992, in Broward County, Florida. Her mother was a Jazz singer, and her father was a cop who dreamed of being a writer. This led to her interest in the arts while growing up in the city of Miami, to which she moved when she was seven years old.
Before graduating high school, she entered a "Poetry Out Loud" competition, and she reached the state finals after having recited two poems. This affirmed her love of performing as well as interacting with the audience and put her on the path of wanting to pursue acting.
Her father found her a month-long acting program at the University of South California, for which she auditioned and gained entry in 2014, thus moving to Los Angeles, California.
There, she graduated with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts in Theatre Acting. Following graduation, she spent two and a half years as a Soul Cycling instructor at the Indoor Cycling Company.
That decision was because she spent most of her childhood absorbed in playing sports, shaping her into a fitness enthusiast. However, she quit later on to devote her time to acting fully.
Career
Briana has tried her hand at both film and television and was met with notable success in each.
Her first acting opportunity was a 1-episode role in the famous soap opera The Young and the Restless (2013-14) when she was still a university student in her senior year. Her role was extended to 16 episodes and thus began her stint in TV series.
She then went on to take part in other TV series, including Undateable (2015), Stitchers (2015), Jane the Virgin (2015), Single Minded (2016), Shameless (2018), Insecure (2018), The Morning Show (2019), and The Weeklings (2017-19).
She then got the regular role of "Jordan Ashford" on the series General Hospital, which is still ongoing as of 2021 (2018-).
She also played minor roles in the movies Middleton (2013), It Had to Be You (2015), and Bright (2017).
Briana also took a stab at theatre for a while, performing as a narrator or a minor character in the productions of Into the Woods, What We’re Up Against, Flyin' West, and Arabian Nights.
Family
As previously mentioned, Briana has a cop for a father and a Jazz singer for a mother, with no siblings.
On June 6, 2020, she got married to her fiancé, Kris Bowers, in a small outdoor Los Angeles wedding. Her husband is a jazz pianist, and he composes for television and film, most notably for Green Book.
