Background
Brian graduated from the University of Notre Dame (BBA Finance) in 1982. Brian started his career in software development, then moved into talent acquisition in the tech sector.
In 1995 Brian founded CollegeGrad, one of the original three entry level job boards (along with JOBTRAK and JobDirect). CollegeGrad.com was acquired by College Enterprises, Inc. (which was later acquired by Blackboard Inc.) in early 2000 and stayed on as Vice President, while concurrently working as Director of Staffing and Employee Development for Keane, Inc. Brian later reacquired CollegeGrad.com in late 2000 and continued as President and CEO until its sale in late 2007 to QuinStreet Inc. Brian's venture fund (Mobile Recruiting Ventures) bought back CollegeGrad.com from Quinstreet in 2014.
While at CollegeGrad.com, Brian developed a series of career videos that were posted to YouTube and have received over six million views.
Brian was named the Industry Leader of the Year in 2006 in the Recruiting And Staffing Best In Class (RASBIC) Awards.
Brian is Co-Founder and CEO of Mobile Recruiting Ventures. Previously, he was Vice President, Global Talent Acquisition for Amazon.com. Prior to Amazon, he worked for Unisys, IBM and Computer Sciences Corporation.
He and his wife Kristin live on Bainbridge Island, Washington.
