History

Branford Hall Career Institute’s Branford, CT campus was founded in 1965 by Nelson Bernabucci, a certified Connecticut State business teacher. His passion for fostering individuals for success in different career fields led him to open the career institute. In 1969, Branford Hall was initially approved by the Connecticut Department of Education to form a one-year proprietary business school offering full-time diploma programs. The school first became accredited as a business school in 1977 by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. In 1993, Branford Hall saw two changes in ownership. It first transferred to The Department of Higher Education. In March, it was acquired by CEC Partnership, L.P. The partnership later changed its name to Premier Education Group in 2002. An additional branch was then opened in Windsor, Connecticut on September 3, 1996. The school expanded its network when a Southington, Connecticut campus opened in November 1997. Since 1979, the curriculum has evolved to keep up with current market demands and technological advances. For many years, Branford Hall Career Institute has enjoyed a reputation of quality and integrity in its training programs.
