Bradfield Woods is a national nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest located 8 miles (13 km) south-east of Bury St Edmunds and 0.75 miles (1.21 km) west of the village of Gedding in the English county of Suffolk. The site is partly owned by the Royal Society for Nature Conservation and is managed by Suffolk Wildlife Trust. The area designated as an SSSI is 83.0 hectares (205 acres) in size with the national nature reserve making up 64 hectares (160 acres) of the site.

Contents

The woods are ancient and have a history of continuous coppicing since at least 1252. They consist of areas of Alder, Oak, Hazel and Ash woodland and are covered by a Tree preservation order. Over 370 plant species have been recorded at the site.
