Brachycephalus pitanga is a species of frog of the family Brachycephalidae. It is endemic to southeastern Brazil and known from the vicinity of its type locality in Ubatuba (including the neighbouring São Luiz do Paraitinga), São Paulo state. The name of the species was chosen because it means "red-coloured" in the Tupi–Guarani languages.
