Synopsis
In a distant future the best RoBoter-Teams of each galaxy fight each other at BOT SOCCER to win the coveted Cup of the Universe. BOT SOCCER is a futuristic version of soccer, but, instead of a soccer ball, you play with a cybercan. There are no rules. Anything goes. If you want to steal the cybercan from your opponent, knock him over.
Build your own RoBoter-Team by choosing the best robots and then equipping them with a multitude of extra weapons, so they can play really mean and win the Cup. This nerve-racking futuristic soccer game will keep you on your toes. It is the first soccer simulation where the winners are the ones who play the dirtiest.
Reception
Bot Soccer shows a 33/100 Critic Score on MobyGames.
Compatibility
Bot Soccer was developed for DOS 5.0, with compatibility for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95. When run in a virtual machine with a modern CPU, the game will display a "Run Time Error 200" alert. Workarounds include using a patch to disable the bug, or installing inside a wrapper like DOSBox.
