History
Booktrope won first place at the Seattle Angel Conference in November 2013, securing $250,000 in investments. In 2014, the company announced a relationship with the Intellectual Property Group in which the IPG would represent the company's catalog to the entertainment industry. The following January, the company opened for submissions for the first time in two years.
The company took on an additional $215,000 investment in January 2015, and announced the launch of two new imprints in February of the same year. Forsaken focuses on horror; Gravity is led by Rachel Thompson and focuses on stories about trauma and recovery. These imprints joined existing imprints Edge (BDSM and dark thrillers), Entice (erotica) and Vox Dei (Christian).
