Bonel Balingit (born 30 November 1967), also known as The Gentle Giant and Mt. Balingit, is a Filipino retired professional basketball center. Balingit was drafted 11th in the 1992 PBA draft by the Swift Mighty Meaty Hotdogs then under coach Derrick Pumaren. He is best known for his tenure with the Sunkist Orange Juicers , where he emerged as a highly capable and dependable big man, holding his own against the more established centers of the day such as Jerry Codiñera, Benjie Paras and Marlou Aquino. In 1997, he was selected to play for the PBA selection in an exhibition game against NBA talents, led by Shaquille O'Neal, who playfully called for Balingit to guard him because of his size.
