Bojan Šaranov (Serbian Cyrillic: Бојан Шаранов; born 22 September 1987) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Qarabağ.

OFK Beograd

Born in Vršac, Šaranov started out at OFK Beograd, making his senior debut in the 2004–05 season. He subsequently went on loan to Mačva Šabac, Bežanija and Rudar Pljevlja in order to get first team experience. After consecutive loan spells, Šaranov returned to OFK Beograd, becoming the first-choice goalkeeper in 2009. He eventually earned a place in the 2010–11 SuperLiga Team of the Season.

Maccabi Haifa

In June 2011, Šaranov moved to Maccabi Haifa.

He first time played for Maccabi, against Maribor in the first leg of third qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League on 27 July 2011. On 20 August 2011, Saranov has played his first match for Maccabi Haifa in the Ligat Ha'al, against Maccabi Netanya. On 15 September 2011, Šaranov has played his first match for Maccabi in UEFA Europa League against AEK Larnaca in 1–0 home win. On 29 September 2011 in Gelsenkirchen, he has played full match against Schalke in 3–1 away loss. Šaranov has played 5 matches in the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League group stage having missed only match against Steaua București and conceding 8 goals. In the 2011–12 season in Ligat Ha'al, Šaranov has played 20 games and conceded 29 goals.

On 25 July 2013, Šaranov has attended the biggest win (8–0) of one Israeli club in Europe in the second leg of the second qualifying round for the Europa League against Xazar Lankaran. On 29 August 2013, Šaranov and his team entereed in group stage of UEFA Europa League after defeating over Astra Giurgiu (aggregate 3–1). His first match in the group stage of the Europa League in the 2013–14 season, he played on 19 September 2013, against AZ Alkmaar. On 24 October 2013, against PAOK, Šaranov has defended two penalties to Miroslav Stoch in 3–2 away loss. He has played 5 games in 2013–14 UEFA Europa League group stage.

Ergotelis

On 30 December 2014, Šaranov signed with Greek club Ergotelis. On 7 January 2015, Šaranov debuted for Ergotelis against AE Ermionida in the Greek Cup. On 19 January 2015, Šaranov has debuted in the Superleague Greece for Ergotelis against AEL Kalloni. On 14 February 2015, Šaranov has saved penalty from Alejandro Domínguez against Olympiacos in 3–0 away loss. On 14 March 2015, in the match against Panathinaikos, Šaranov was injured in the 37th minute due to injury he missed the next three games in the Superleague Greece. He made 13 league appearances until the end of the 2014–15 season, before leaving the club following their relegation from the top flight.

Partizan

On 23 December 2015, Šaranov joined Partizan on a four-year contract. On 27 February 2016, Šaranov made his official debut for the club in a Eternal derby against Red Star Belgrade.

International career

In March 2008, Šaranov was included in the preliminary squad for the 2008 Summer Olympics, but failed to make the final cut for the tournament.

Šaranov was a member of the Serbian youth national team that took part at the 2009 UEFA Under-21 Championship. He served as backup to Željko Brkić, being unable to make any appearance in the tournament.

Šaranov earned his first call up to the Serbian senior national team by coach Vladimir Petrović for a UEFA Euro 2012 qualifier against Northern Ireland. On 3 June 2011, Šaranov made his full international debut for Serbia, playing the full 90 minutes in a 1–2 friendly loss at Seoul World Cup Stadium against South Korea.
