Robert Victor Gliner (born c. 1940s) is an independent documentary film director and producer and Emeritus Faculty of Sociology at San Jose State University. Gliner's work focuses on social advocacy and covers such topics as school reform, developing nations, consumerism, college athletics, the military–industrial complex and the disabled. Gliner funds most projects himself and airs his programs on Bay Area PBS stations such as KTEH, KQED, KCSM. Gliner lives in Ben Lomond, California.

Contents

Gliner's work has been criticized for lack of adequate funding even while being praised for his prodigious output of several films a year for over a decade. He taught himself filmmaking.
