Career

In 2010, Forest attended recording sessions of the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League during his internship with them. He learned how they made their music and influenced him a lot. Later he went to school in Middle Tennessee State University for audio production in pursuit of perfecting his craft. Early in 2012, Metaphor worked for Scrilla, then signed to CTE World. In late May 2012, Carbon 15, Jeezy's A & R, discovered Metaphor, leading to a meeting with Jeezy where Jeezy picked 9 beats from him. In August 2012, he signed to Kenoe's label, Night Rydas Productions. Then in December, Big John helped him sign with Warner Chappell.
