Binesh Balan, born in 27 November 1991, at Kolichal of Kasaragod district. He has been completed his primary education from G.U.P School Prantharkavu and Secondary and post secondary education from Govt.H.S.S Balanthodu in 2009. He was the former student of St. Pius X College, Rajapuram where he did his bachelor's degree (B.A) in Development Economics (2009–2012) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in HRM and Marketing in Institute of Management in Kerala (2012–2014).

The mainstream medias of Kerala, frequently discussed about the issues of a highly talented young man (Binesh Balan) who denied by the government officials (bureaucrats) of Kerala, about his decision to studying in a foreign university for a master's degree because of his low caste status (Scheduled Tribe or Adivasi).
