Davies was a Welsh rugby union and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1930s, playing club level rugby union (RU) for Llanelli RFC, and playing representative level rugby league (RL) for Great Britain, and at club level for Castleford, and Featherstone Rovers (Heritage № 153) as a stand-off/five-eighth, i.e. number 6.
