Prior to becoming the CEO of the ARU, Pulver was known for being the father of Mosman bomb hoax victim Madeleine Pulver. The house was featured on an episode of the television show Sandcastles on channel 7Two on 18 September 2013, having been filmed one day prior to the attack.

Personal life

Pulver attended Shore School, Class of 1977, and then the University of New South Wales. He is a member of the 2013 Board of Trustees for the Shore School Foundation.

Pulver is married with four children. The family owns properties in Mosman, Avoca Beach and Bungendore.
