Education and career
In 2014, Ottman co-founded Minds, an open source social networking platform that launched to the public in June 2015. He is also currently an advisor at Code to Inspire.
Awards and honors
In 2015, The Boston Global Forum honored Ottman as a Michael Dukakis Leadership Fellow.

As an information activist, Ottman's speaking engagements and media appearances have included The Huffington Post and the Voice of America.
