Biju Expressway is an expressway under construction, measuring 650 km. It will start at Chandili (border village in Koraput district) and touch border towns/market centres such as Kotpad, Boriguma, Nabarangpur, Papadahandi, Ambapani, Gadbhanga, Dharmagarh, Sinapalli, Bhella, Nuapada, Paikamal, Padampur, Sohela, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh before ending at Rourkela.

Total cost of the project is around 3,630 crore (US$540 million). It will be completed in phased manner. In the first phase of the project, 254 km road will be converted to four-lanes and 402 kilometers to be two-lanes. In the second phase, 258 km will be made four-lane.
