History

Big Brand Tire & Service was founded in April 1969 in the city of Goleta, California by Tom Graham and his brother-in-law, Lee Freeburg. In 1971, the store was moved to downtown Santa Barbara, and shortly after a second store was opened in Goleta. By 1972 the third store was opened in Lompoc, California. In 1989, Greg Robinson, the current president, joined the company as a dealer runner for the Van Nuys store, the only store to open in Los Angeles County. The Van Nuys store was closed in 1994 because of irreparable damage following the Northridge earthquake. Big Brand Tire & Service currently employs more than 250 residents of southern and central California, across 17 locations. The corporate headquarters is located in Camarillo, California, and consists of a tire warehouse, call center, and business offices.
