Bray Wanderers

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Afolabi began his career with Bray Wanderers, after signing from Clongowes Wood College, where he scored 64 goals in 31 appearances. He continued his goal scoring exploits for Bray's Under 19 side; he ended the season by making six first team appearances and scoring four goals. During his time in Ireland, his prolific goal scoring saw him linked with the likes of Manchester United, Celtic and Everton F.C.

Oxford City

In the summer of 2014, Bidemi made the move to England and began pre-season for Corby Town. Showing early promise in the summer warm up fixtures, Bidemi particularly caught the eye as he scored two goals against a Nottingham Forest XI. Oxford City made an immediate move for Bidemi's services and it is there he began the 2014/2015 season.

Sabbatical

In the summer of 2015, Bidemi decided to take a year out from the game and explore his different fields of interest. His announcement to return to professional football for the 2016/17 season has sparked interest from various clubs both in Ireland and the UK.
