Bhavya Gowda (Kannada: ಭವ್ಯ ಗೌಡ, Hindi: भव्य- Bhavya meaning ‘splendid’) is an Indian-born model and international actress & beauty pageant title holder, aged about 34 years. She moved to England in 2006, and was crowned Miss Earth Northampton (Midlands UK) in 2010.

She was a finalist of Miss England Earth in 2009. She was also Miss India Personality in 2002 and Miss Commonwealth International 2010 finalist for Asia Pacific.

Early Life and Background
Bhavya was born on 29 January 1983 in Hassan, Karnataka, India. Her family moved to Bangalore, Karnataka, when she was a year old. Her father L.R. Shivarame Gowda is a senior politician in the country & her mother Sudha Sivarame Gowda is an educationist. Bhavya did her schooling at Bishop Cottons Girls School, Bangalore, and for higher studies she went to Mount Carmel College & Bangalore University. She holds a Master’s degree in Finance & Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.
She went on to do International MBA (Specializing in Finance) from University of Northampton UK and also did a Post Graduation in Higher Educational Management from University of Leeds UK.
Modeling
While in college, Bhavya pursued her career in modelling. She was then appointed as the secretary of the fashion team in Mount Carmel College Bangalore. Bhavya was 9 years old when she did her first modelling shoot for Weekender Kids. Over the years, she worked for various Indian Brands like Chandrika Soap, IBM, HP, World Gold Council, MTV Fashion Awards. She has also worked with some of the famous Indian designers & modelling houses.
She continued her Modelling Career in UK after she went there for further education. Her first big break in UK was in 2009 when she was adjudged as the Runner up of Fabulous Face of Northampton. She then went on to win one of the most coveted titles of UK, Miss Earth Northampton (Midlands UK) 2010.[2][3]
She has featured in a lot of magazines in UK like Neon Magazine (sponsors of the Miss Earth Pageant in 2010). She was on the Cover Page of 3rd issue of Neon Magazine. The latest addition to the list being, Asian Women Magazine (May-2011) and Asian Style Magazine (May-2011, Midlands). She has also done modelling for some of the well known brands in the world like the Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier, with Tom Hart as the photographer and was featured in Neon magazine.
She has appeared in a Music Video produced by the Famous Jazzy B and Sunny Dee. She has worked with photographer Simon Walden of Bride and Prejudice fame.[3] She has done Live Modelling for Asian Women Bridal Exhibition in UK. Bhavya has also featured in Asiana ‘’Image’’ and ‘’R’’ Magazines in UK.
