Gandhi appeared as Tipendra Jethalal Champaklal Jayantilal Girdharlal Gada, son of Jethalal and Daya Gada, the lead characters of the Indian sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Tapu was shown to be intelligent and sportive, but naughty and mischievous. He played the role from 2008 to 2017.

Gandhi also played the role of child lead Suryakant in the 2010 Hindi film Striker. He will debut in Gujarati cinema in 2017.

He leaves Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah to go ahead with his career.

Gandhi lives with his parents in Mumbai. He is Jain by religion. Bhavya is the cousin of Samay Shah, who also played his on-screen friend Gurucharan Singh Sodhi (Gogi) in sitcom Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah.
