It was formerly in Muzaffanagar District but now comes into the Shamli District after 2009. It is the highest minority populated Gram Panchayat in Shamli District. Muslim and Jatav lives in this village. Muslim Population is 95-97% and rest are the Jatav in the village. There are 4 Islamic Madarsas, 21 Masjid, 2 primary school, 1 junior high school and 3 public schools. Oriental Bank of Commerce Branch situated in the village, and a water tank built in 2010.
