The village is populated by members of several castes, including Pathak, Kandpal, Joshi, Pandey, Masiwal, Patwal and Khapper.
Economy
Bhagoti is home to a dairy which employs many of the residents. About 45% of the population work as farmers.

Bhagoti is home to two mandirs (Bal Vikash Vidya mandir and Pauranic Shiv mandir). It is nearby the Ramganga river.
