Beso Turazashvili

Early life

Beso was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. He is the son of Roin Turazashvili, a Georgian businessman and Eteri Chavchavadze Dvalishvili, a Georgian restaurateur. Their family moved to different countries a lot. Beso went to study at Liceo in Milan, Italy and right after that got into New York University where he graduated with Bachelor's degree and got double major in Film & New Media and Economics. He had a chance to study in New York City, Abu Dhabi, Buenos Aires and Sydney.

Branding and Communications

Turazashvili founded the first multi-channel communications agency in Russia called ELECTRIC CREATIVE. The agency works in fields such as Branding, PR, Production and Digital. Beso started his career in Branding and Communications right after he graduated from NYU and joined a British branding agency Wolff Olins as a Strategist right after graduation. StartJG was his next company where he spent a year of his life on Strategy and New Business Development before moving to Moscow to take a position of a Strategy Principle at Russia's biggest branding and communications agency at that time Apostol headed by Tinatin Kandelaki.

Fashion Design and Portnoy Beso

Beso founded Portnoy Beso, a Russian-Georgian ready-to-wear brand, right after moving to Moscow from Dubai. Beso brought his vision to Russia after having lived in Dubai and New York where he worked for Stella McCartney.

Beso takes his inspiration from his travels around the world. He mixes the cultural and ethnic details with modern chic and elegance. PORTNOY BESO creates its garments for a self-confident and modern lady. Only after 3 months of being on market Portnoy Beso was invited to have a show at Mercedes–Benz Fashion Week Russia where it had a big success and was covered by several international and national medias such as Vogue, Elle. Business of Fashion, Glamour and many others. Right now brand is sold in more than 15 countries globally.

Film director career

Born in USSR, raised in Russia and Italy, educated in the US, Beso decided to continue his filmmaking career in the United Arab Emirates from 2010 until moving to Moscow in June 2015. He is known for directing "Lost in Escapade", a psychological drama with elements of magical realism about a Georgian couple, Sandro and Tina, who get lost in the desert of the Emirates and discover changes happening in their relationship. "Lost in Escapade" will have its premier at the Cannes Film Festival in May, 2015. Beso has also worked as a production designer, costume designer and producer on several US based films. Right now he is in the preproduction of his first feature film to be shot in Georgia and Romania in 2016.
