Bertin Nahum (born 14 November 1969) is a Senegalese entrepreneur residing in France, President and Founder of Medtech, which designs and markets the medical robotic technology ROSA.

Biography

Bertin Nahum holds an Engineering Degree from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA, Lyon, France) and a Master of Science in Robotics from Coventry University (United Kingdom).

After his studies, he decided to go into the field of medical engineering. He has held various management positions in renowned companies specialized in surgical robotics:


Following these field experiences, including in operating rooms, Bertin Nahum founded the company Medtech in 2002.
Distinctions
In September 2012, Bertin Nahum classified 4th in top 10 of the most Revolutionary High-Tech Entrepreneurs in the ranking of the Canadian magazine Discovery Series, positioning just behind Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg and James Cameron. Among the criteria used by Discovery Series in this classification, entrepreneurs had to make breakthrough innovations, to think beyond what most people consider possible and create innovations that improve people’s lives.
One year later, in September 2013, Bertin Nahum was awarded the Chevalier insigna in the French National Order of the Legion of Honour, which he received from Fleur Pellerin, then Minister Delegate with responsibility for Small and Medium Enterprises, Innovation, and the Digital Economy.
