The Bernic Lake mine (or Tanco mine) is a large mine located in the central part of Canada in Manitoba. Bernic Lake represents one of the largest tantalum reserves in Canada having estimated reserves of 2.1 million tonnes of ore grading 0.22% tantalum. The mine also has additional reserves amounting to 7.3 million tonnes of ore grading 2.76% lithium.
