Temples in the town

The lord Venkataramana swami temple, Siva Parvathi Temple, Veera Bhareshwara Temple, lord sree Rama Bhajana Mandira's(Kumbara Bhajana Mandira, Padmasali Bhajana Mandira), Lord Anjineya swami temple, Gangamma Temple and Makah masjid are there. For this near to town the lord Muneswara swami Temple, lord Narasimha swami Temple, Buttappa swami temple and Basaveshwara swami temples are there.

Celebrating the festivals

All the Hindu and Muslim festivals celebrate, and here especially, sree Rama Navami, Ugadhi, Deepavali, pongal and Ramajan very famous. Sree rama navami is the name of festival they celebrate for more than 2 days. In that time all the peoples are visiting the town for praying to the god SeethaRam with include all the gods they making light celebration and doing puja, bhajana, sankeerthanas and some other entertainments.

Pongal is the festival for enjoying with bullocks. It comes in the month of January but is celebrating in all the villages up to the month of May. These festival is very famous in Tamil Nadu but here also is celebrated in 3 days of this festival in all the villages. On the first day they make puja for the god and cook the pongal in the near of temple then the second day prepare the sweets and snacks then the last day is main show, this day everybody wears traditional dresses and the neighbor village people also come to see the festival. It goes from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Another festival "Akandha RAMANAMA SAAPTAHAM" starts from ugadhi to SriRamanavami for 7 days 24 hours continue "RAMANAMA" Japa chanting. One team 2 hr chanting. Total 12 teams. This festival was started in 1987 and is maintained by Sri Venkataramana Rtd Teachaer, RSS, & SRi Rama Bhajana Mandiram trust.

'Buttappa swamy' araadana, a famous fair, is celebrated in the month of August every year.

Educational Institutes

Here the Government Higher Secondary School, Vanaprastha international school, Sree viddhya bharathi English medium and government Telugu medium, Tamil medium and Urdu medium schools. For higher studies students attend at MGR Arts and Science, Adhiyamaan College Of Engineering, Perumal Manimakkal College Of Engineering and St.Johns Women's College for Girls, but most persons are Telugu people living here so the Tamil Nadu government has supported maintaining Telugu schools in the state of Tamil Nadu

Agriculture area

For this town a number of villages are attaching but it is near to Seekanapalli, Kurubarapalli, Madivalam, Maruthi nagar, Pannapalli, K.N.Doddi, Amudagondapalli, Mididepalli, Athimugam and Sonnepuram etc, so these villages can export the vegetables, spices and flowers for all the villages. Here the name of Seekanapalli is the place for Temple of Lord Gopala swamy(Lord Krishna) and the big history of Pandavas in Mahabaratham they also lived near this village now also we can number of caves near to this area and famous for blue metals the name SRBM Blue metels, SVM Transport, fruits and flowers like roses and mangos. flowers are available in the villages name of Seekanapalli sri Laxshmi venkateshwara flowers and sree ram flowers are available and major part of flower export available in the village name of Amudagondapalli Tan flora for exporting the flowers to Hosur, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore etc. In the time of festivals demand is more, especially the Valente's day, New Year, Dhasara or Ayudha puja time more exporting the flowers. Mangos are in a session time exporting to Krishnagiri, Salem and Bangalore.
