Benjamin Z. Kedar

Benjamin Z. Kedar (January 1, 1938) is a Historian and Professor. He was born in Nitra (Czechoslovakia). He has been a Professor of History at Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he was also founder of their School of History, since 1986, and was awarded Professor Emeritus status in 2007. He received his M. A. in 1965, and in 1969 his Ph.D. at University of Yale. Since 1995 he has been President of the International Society for the Study of the Crusades and the Latin East.
