Ben Thilthorpe (born 20 August 1978) is an Australian ice hockey player who played for the Adelaide Avalanche and Adelaide Adrenaline in the Australian Ice Hockey League between 2000 to 2008 and is a former member of the Australian national ice hockey team.

Playing career
Thilthorpe first played ice hockey in 2000 for the Adelaide Avalanche of the Australian Ice Hockey League (AIHL). He continued to play for the Avalanche until part way through the 2008 AIHL season where the team folded and withdrew from the league. During the 2005 AIHL season Thilthorpe scored a personal best in points finishing with seven goals and thirteen points. In 2010 Thilthorpe returned to ice hockey after a years break, he joined the Adelaide Blackhawks of the South Australian A Grade. He remained signed with the Blackhawks for 2011 however did not play during the season.
Thilthorpe was first called up to represent Australia in 1999 where he joined the national senior team to compete in the 1999 IIHF World Championship Pool D tournament. In 2011 he represented Australia for the seventh time during the 2011 IIHF World Championship Division II Group A tournament. Australia won the tournament after winning all of their four games and finishing first in the group standings.
Personal life
Thilthorpe was born on 20 August 1978 in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. Thilthorpe is an admitted barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of South Australia. He is married and has three children. In 2012 Ben co-founded Adelaide legal firm Barbaro Thilthorpe Lawyers [1].
