The school has an indoor swimming pool, gymnasium and a smaller fitness suite. In 2006/7 a bistro was built on the side of the school creating extra eating areas.

The Head Teacher, Lynn Black, joined the school in 2015.

Beeslack has a school roll of around 800-900 pupils with around 100 teachers. The pupils are separated into year groups which are further divided into registration classes. In 2013, Beeslack introduced a house system where every pupil in the school was split between the three team houses; Hoy (green), Stevenson (red) and Livingston (blue).

The school uniform consists of black trousers or skirts, shirts and a jumper along with ties. S6 pupils wear modified uniform blazers and prefect ties.
