Samuel Taylor “Beau” Rials (born September 29, 1962) is a host, producer, writer in the direct response television industry, a television reality show producer and fitness expert.

Early life

Rials was born in Memphis, Tennessee, but raised mostly in Mississippi. He became a local DJ in Meridian, Mississippi at WMOX in 1978 at the age of 15. After winning numerous junior golf championships, he accepted a scholarship to attend Delta State University and play the sport. In 1983 Rials transferred to the University of Illinois where he received a degree in Business Administration in 1985.

Career

In 1985 Rials took a job at WJTX in Champaign, Illinois then worked his way to WCKG in Chicago by 1987. In 1988 Beau moved to Los Angeles and began working as a Jock at Classic Rocker KLSX-FM. He would stay at KLSX until 1996, then move “crosstown” to KLOS. Beau was also a staple at Westwood One’s Classic Rock Format from 1990 until 1999 performing over 1,500 shows and was one of four full-time hosts of the syndicated radio program Rockline. Rials was a host at the Sunset Strip’s Laugh Factory from 1993-1997.

In 1992 fellow Rock Dee Jay Jim Ladd gave Beau a lead to Host a music Infomercial which would become his first called Karaoke Classic. This marked the beginning of Rials' infomercial career. He has since hosted over 160 infomercials and Short Form Direct Response Commercials, and he has been the spokesperson for companies such as Mitsubishi Electric, MGM and Clorox. His infomercials have launched several household brands. Rials has also produced and hosted a documentary called Into The Mystic. In 2014, Beau started his website for baby boomers called FitnessOver50.org.

Personal life

Beau has been married to Brynn (Moorman) Rials since 1992. They have two children, Nick 20 and Sammantha 15. The Rials family resides on 10 acres (40,000 m2) in Southwest Florida.
