Song information

The song was written by the band's founder, Patrick Marina Nebel. It was released as a single from Nacht und Nebel's second album, also titled Beats of Love. It premiered initially in Belgium in 1983, and subsequently made a release in the rest of European countries in 1984. The single had two B-sides, depending on territory, "Everything Is White" and "Walk On".

Chris Whitley contributed guitar part to the song.

Get Ready! & Amanda Lear version

Belgian boyband quartet Get Ready! recorded a new version of "Beats of Love" in 2002, with French singer Amanda Lear contributing guest vocals. It was released as the second single from the band's 2002 album Incognito. The song was also included on Amanda Lear's 2003 Tendance, actually a re-release of her 2001 album Heart. "Beats of Love" was released only in Belgium, where it met with limited success.
