Bavlinsky District (Russian: Бавлинский райо́н; Tatar: Баулы районы) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the forty-three in the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the republic. The area of the district is 1,210.4 square kilometers (467.3 sq mi). Its administrative center is the town of Bavly (which is not administratively a part of the district). Population: 14,161 (2010 Census); 14,566 (2002 Census); 56,709 (1989 Census).

Administrative and municipal status
Within the framework of administrative divisions, Bavlinsky District is one of the forty-three in the republic. The town of Bavly serves as its administrative center, despite being incorporated separately as a town of republic significance—an administrative unit with the status equal to that of the districts.
As a municipal division, the district is incorporated as Bavlinsky Municipal District, with the town of republic significance of Bavly being incorporated within it as Bavly Urban Settlement.
