Life and career
Ratcliffe was born in Glade Hill, Virginia. He started his career as a detective in the SIU (Special Investigations Unit) for 5 years on the CBS show Nash Bridges with Don Johnson in San Francisco. Since then, he has had many notable television appearances, with a wide variety of roles including doctors, lawyers, cops, his specialty as an auctioneer and announcer, and certainly his strong comedic characters.
He is currently playing Don Foushee on the series Outsiders and has a recurring role as city councilman Jason Tyler on the 7th season of the award winning and critically acclaimed show Army Wives, Lifetime's number one drama and the number one show on cable with women 18 to 49.
His credits include guest starring on Brothers and Sisters on ABC, guest starring on The Haves and the Have Nots from Tyler Perry, costarring with Jennifer Esposito on the Hallmark movie of the week, The Wish List, playing a White House correspondent on the Emmy-award-winning show House of Cards costarring as an auctioneer on CBS's number one show Person of Interest starring Jim Caviezel, NBC's USA network show White Collar starring Matt Bomer, costarring on Nashville, playing the lead detective, Steve Robel, on The Michael Jackson Trial on E!, a recurring brain surgeon, Dr. David Moss on Untold Stories of the E.R., to such shows as America's Most Wanted, Nip Tuck, Threshold, The Division, The Plot to Kill Nixon, The Heidi Fleiss Story, and many more.
