Regional Development Planning Agency (Abbreviated: Bappeda) Formed After Lhokseumawe City Passed as local government of Lhokseumawe City. That marked the publication of Law No. 2 of 2001 on the Establishment of Lhokseumawe City (State Institutions of the Republic of Indonesia Year 2001 Number 82 Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia No. 4109) on June 1, 2001.
Bappeda cite this as one entity within the scope of Government of Lhokseumawe City. this appropriate with decision of the Mayor Lhokseumawe City No. 04 of 2001 concerning the Establishment of organizational structures and working procedures of the Government of Lhokseumawe City.
Duties and Functions
Duties and Functions of Bappeda Kota Lhokseumawe:
a. Technical policy formulation in the field of regional development planning;
b. Implementation of technical development in the field of regional development planning;
c. Implementation guidelines for technical guidance in the areas of regional development planning;
d. Assessment and formulation of policy concepts in the field of regional development planning;
d.1 Preparation archetype regional development consisting of Work Plan (RKPD), Long-Term Regional Development Plan (RPJPD);
e. Execution of tasks related to the development in the field of regional development planning and documenting and disseminating results;
f. Preparation of local development plans in the long term, medium term and short term;
g. Elaboration of local development plans in the form of Regional Development Program (Propeda) a period of 5 (five) years;
h. Further elaboration into annual development program for deconcentration program and community aspirations dosentralisasi that mejaring (staka holder);
i. Implementation planning coordination among agencies, regional institutions and other organizational entities in the local government area;
j. The planning budget to the City along with DPKAD administrative coordination by SEKDA;
k. Implementation of research, assessment and development of regional development planning system;
l. Coordinating the implementation of local development planning and evaluation;
m. Implementation of coordination and synchronization City development to achieve harmony in accordance with the objectives of regional development plans and medium-term development;
n. Assessment of the success of the implementation activities and progress in the implementation of regional development plans for further refinement of materials;
o. Implementing planning activities in accordance with the policy framework of regional development;
