Voltaire banned on vulcan 2001

Banned on Vulcan (2001) is an EP by the dark cabaret/darkwave artist Aurelio Voltaire. It was released in 2001 by PlanetGrey Records, then re-released later that year by Projekt Records. Voltaire is a great fan of Star Trek, frequently attending conventions. All four tracks on this album relate to it, and mention characters, places, and situations from the show.

Contents

The cover features Voltaire as a Vulcan in Starfleet uniform, smoking a cigarette.

The EP is since long out-of-print, but all of its four tracks would be re-recorded for Voltaire's 2012 album BiTrektual.

Voltaire worf s revenge

Track listing

"Worf's Revenge (Klingon Rap)"
A gangsta rap-esque song celebrating the character Worf, a Klingon who first appeared in Star Trek: The Next Generation, and later, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine extolling his physical strength, achievements, and sexual prowess, referencing his on-screen romances with Deanna Troi, Jadzia Dax and Ezri Dax.
"The U.S.S. Make Shit Up"
A song about treknobabble, Star Trek 's tendency to use borderline nonsense to explain away technical details, and some inconsistencies within the Star Trek universe. It describes every series from The Original Series to Voyager. A live version of this song also appears on Voltaire's live album, Live!, and includes a "bonus verse" dealing with Enterprise.
"The Sexy Data Tango"
Using numerous double entendres and similar sexual innuendo (such as "Warp core manifolds" and "Jefferies tube"), "The Sexy Data Tango" is a tango that describes Data's sexual encounters with Tasha Yar, and describing him as "fully functional and anatomically correct." A live version of this song also appears on Voltaire's album Live!.
"Screw the Ocampa! (I Wanna Go Home)"
This is a humorous lament from the Delta Quadrant, where the crew of the USS Voyager were stranded for seven years, as shown during the events of Star Trek: Voyager. The song is sung to the tune of the folk standard "Sloop John B," made famous by The Beach Boys.
