History

Bankers Healthcare Group was founded in 2001 by Albert Crawford, Robert Castro and Eric Castro. The corporate headquarters is located in Davie, Florida, with the financial headquarters located in Syracuse, New York. BHG also holds a national sales office in New York City and regional sales offices in Chicago, Illinois and Denver, Colorado.

In the last decade, the company has experienced growth of over 2,500 percent. BHG has eight times been ranked as one of the fastest growing companies by Inc., including a top five ranking in 2005. BHG has over 270 employees.

In 2013, the CNY Business Journal honored Bankers Healthcare Group as Central New York’s Best Place to Work and again named them as a finalist in 2014. In 2016, BHG’s Davie location was named the best place to work by the South Florida Business Journal.

In February 2015, Pinnacle Bank, acquired a 30 percent interest in Bankers Healthcare Group for $75 million. In February 2016, Pinnacle purchased an additional 19% of BHG for $144 million worth of cash and stock.

Services

Bankers Healthcare Group is a direct lender that provides financing to those in the healthcare industry. The company works with physicians, dentists and veterinarians as well as other healthcare specialties. BHG provides financing for commercial purposes including working capital, debt consolidation and expansion and improvement.

In 2011, the company introduced a credit card option intended to support the purchase of medical equipment, association/membership fees and continuing education for healthcare professionals.

BHG has provided over $2 billion in funding and positions itself as a fast and efficient method to obtain working capital.

In 2015, BHG launched a sister company, BHG Insurance Services, to provide personal and commercial insurance coverage to healthcare professionals.

Bankers Healthcare Group maintains financing partnerships with healthcare-related associations. They include:
