(Buaile Ruadh Irish: Red dairy place) Ballyroe is a townland in easterly Knock parish, Co. Mayo.

Geography

Ballyroe borders Lispatrick to the North. Killoveeny to the South. Caldragh to the north West. It touches Cloonturnaun slightly to the west on Lough Turnaun. The R323 Regional Road runs through the townland. Eastpoint which is at the east of the county is the most easterly point in Knock parish.

Physical

Most of Ballyroe is pastureland and very hilly. It is very good farmland. It has a remarkable lake which releases many small streams throughout the region.
