The Balimela reservoir boat attack occurred on 29 June 2008 when CPI (Maoist) forces attacked a boat on the Balimela reservoir in Orissa state (India) carrying 4 anti-Naxalite police and 60 Greyhound commandos. The boat sunk, killing 38 troops, while 26 survived.
