Bahrain Mirror (Arabic: مرآة البحرين) is an Arabic- and English-language e-newspaper run by dissidents in Bahrain.

History and profile

Bahrain Mirror was launched on 12 May 2011 during the Bahraini uprising. In its first editorial, Bahrain Mirror stated that it was created due to the reduction of press freedom after the Peninsula Shield Force arrived in Bahrain on 14 March 2011, which was followed the next day by the declaration of martial law and a three-month state of emergency.

Bahrain Mirror also states that it is a part of the opposition that aims to achieve a real Constitutional monarchy where each authority has its independence and is not controlled by the king. The paper supports the movement by the February 14 Revolution Youth Coalition which led to the Bahraini uprising and support the demands of opposition political society announced in Pearl Roundabout in February and March 2011.
