The 'Bahnhof Kirchheim (Teck)' (1864 to 1899 Kirchheim u Teck ) is the most important station of the Baden-Württemberg town Kirchheim unter Teck. Today's train station is at kilometer 6,465 of the Teck Railway. This leads from Wendlingen (Neckar) about Kirchheim (Teck) to Oberlenningen. It is served from the line S1 of the Stuttgart S-Bahn and the regional train line R81.

History
The 6.11 kilometers long stretch from Unterboihingen (today Wendlingen) over Ötlingen to Kirchheim (Teck) was finished on September 21, 1864. This was in Württemberg the first private railway taken into operation. It was operated by the Kirchheimer Eisenbahn Gesellschaft. With effect from January 1, 1899, the Royal Württemberg State Railways overtook the rail network. On October 1 of the same year the extension until Oberlenningen (nowadays district of Lenningen) was put into operation. On September 15, 1908, the Royal Württemberg State Railways opened the branch line from Kirchheim (Teck) South to Weilheim (Teck) On September 26, 1975, the new station was opened in an area located more south in Kirchheim. The old station was demolished, a shopping center (Teckcenter) was built. On September 25, 1982, the passenger traffic from Kirchheim to Weilheim (Teck) was changed from train to bus. The freigt transport on the section Holzmaden-Weilheim was stopped around 1985. On August 1, 1995, was the total closure of the remaining section Kirchheim-Holzmaden. On December 12, 2009, the S 1 of the Stuttgart S-Bahn reached Kirchheim for the first time. Kirchheim is nowadays connected to the rail network by the Teckbahn, leading from Wendlingen to Oberlenningen. This line is integrated in the network of the Stuttgart-S-Bahn till Kirchheim. On the section Kirchheim-Oberlenningen run regional trains from the line R81.
