Bagli is a town and a nagar panchayat in the Malwa region of Dewas district in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census, Bagli had a population of 10,122. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Bagli has an average literacy rate of 64%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 59% of the males and 41% of females literate. 15% of the population is under 6 years of age.

One of the major rivers of Madhya Pradesh Kali Sindh flows through the south of Bagli. The Hindu temple of "Jata-Shankar" dedicated to lord shiva is located in the outskirts of Bagli. People from all over Madhya Pradesh visit this place. Bagli is an ancient estate of thakur raja sajan Singh's from Rajasthan in 16th century. Bagli belongs to bagh which means tiger place,later, after 1857 revolt in India,it was merged in Gwalior estate. Bagli is the biggest tehsil of dewas district.

The main language of Bagli is Malvi which is a local dilect spoken in Malwa Madhya Pradesh,
