Background

An AfroBeat, Reggae, and Hip-Hop artist, Ak3ju's love for music can be traced back to his childhood. Even though his parents were not fond of the idea of him becoming a singer, he found inspiration in the music they surrounded him with. Influenced by Nat King Cole, Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, Ak3ju started writing lyrics at a very early age, and that was the beginning of his career as a performer.

Today, Ak3ju remains committed to his music after more than a decade of performing, writing, and producing music. Ak3ju is both versatile and talented and has several awards to his name. His music has taken him around the world performing at several universal concerts such as, “The Art of Speech for Humanity Concert” in London, “Africa Unites Tour” in South Africa; and the “Save Africa Concert Foundation” at the Apollo Theater in Harlem, New York, where Nelson Mandela’s wife, Winnie was in attendance.
