Dr. Reddy's Laboratories custom pharma services are located in Bachupally.
It also houses the now defunct Maytas County Hill project *IL&FS Properties, which was earlier planned to be an IT SEZ. Apart from these, it also houses a host of industries. Industrial facilities include IT, pharmaceutical, apparel and industrial development areas. IT Giant Tech Mahindra Training Center, a notified SEZ which employs around 10,000 employees, is located nearby.
Due to its proximity to the IT corridor, Bachupally has witnessed a boom in real estate with a plethora of residential colonies mushrooming (Cost per sft has swiftly increased from a low of around Rs 1800, to the current price of around Rs 2500 [IL&FS is quoting 3500 per sft for the Hill Country township]). The current issue of demonetization has had no impact on the real estate prices in this area, as the rates continue to hover around Rs 2500 even now. 30% of the area is covered by apartments and flats, and 10% are independent houses. The land rates have been steadily increasing for the past three years. The expected rapid urbanization in the coming years is set to further fuel the real estate demand in Bachupally.

Road
Bachupally is well connected by road to all major areas, as TSRTC runs daily services to the IT corridor and to the other places of the city. The service to Hitech city runs every 30 mins. Travel time between Bachupally and Hitech City (The IT Hub) is around 20-30mins, depending upon the traffic situation. All major cab providers including Uber, Ola and Meru cabs provide transportation services for commuters in this area.
An ICBT (Inter City Bus Terminal) too is coming up in the vicinity, which will further improve the connectivity. ICBT is owned by the HMDA and will be operated under a public–private partnership. It will be one of the largest bus stations in India, with 200 bus bays. It will have a 1 lakh sft of commuter and passenger terminal space at an estimated cost of 100 crores. This project is expected to complete soon.
Bachupally may be reached by road via ORR, driving through Mallampet which is a motorable road, and then the drive on the 6-lane ORR. The area dwellers highlight that the drive on ORR is pleasing and free of problems, even after onset of monsoon.
