BLender is an Israeli-based peer-to-peer lending company, headquartered in Tel-Aviv. BLender was founded in 2013 by a group of physicists and IT professionals with a wide range of backgrounds in algorithms, big data, and artificial intelligence of complex systems. BLender provides a multi-continental and cross-border, marketplace lending service in developing and emerging countries. In June 2015, BLender secured Series-A funding led by Blumberg Capital, a leading US based, fintech focused venture capital fund.

Technology

BLender is a cloud-based platform that was built to work in a wide range of markets and languages. The platform is constantly evolving and is a state of the art rating and investing platform.

BLender’s credit rating engine, Rating 2.0TM, is a hybrid multi-layer system that is built of three main modules. BLender’s platform is fully mobile and web based.

Markets

BLender went live in Israel as its first market and established a beta site on October 20, 2014.

Since its establishment, BLender is the largest and fastest growing marketplace lending platform in Israel.

Global Expansion

BLender is expanding beyond the Israeli market, focusing the majority of its efforts to become a leading player in the multi-continental marketplace lending arena.

BLender is currently launching numerous new locations in Europe.

Recent Accolades

BLender was named to the Global Fintech 100 list (December 2015) by KMPG-H2 Ventures.

In addition BLender received the United Kingdom Trade and Investment prize for leading Israeli Fintech company (November 2015).

Dr. Gal Aviv (CEO) was named to the 40 under 40 Most Influential Figures list of Globes Financial Magazine in Israel (November 2015).
