Padayatra demanding water in suburban districts of Bengaluru
Bengaluru Rural, Chikkaballapura, and Kolar are districts adjoining the city of Bengaluru. These are developing districts, which are projected to house future commercial areas. Unfortunately, the area suffers from an acute water shortage. BJP Yuva Morcha held a padayatra (walkathon) from Chikkaballapur to Bengaluru, demanding a permanent water solution for these areas. The walkathon gained popularity, and farmers voluntarily joined it, making for a crowd of around 6000 people. Unable to stand the fact of people participating in large numbers, the state government sabotaged the yatra by detaining its leaders.

The yatra travelled across 14 districts, covering 1153 kilometers in 7 days.
