History
It was established in 1999, but the founding team was in the CAE software field since the late 80s.
Organization
Today (i.e. 2015) it employs approximately 220 people, in three divisions: administration, R&D and Customers Service.
BETA CAE Systems S.A. distributes its products directly and through a network of about 12 independent business agents world wide. Two subsidiaries of the company were announced in 2014: BETA CAE Nordic AB, in Gothenburg, Sweden and BETA CAE Italy Srl, in Turin, Italy.
Products
The company focuses on the development of CAE software tools for simulation data management, pre-processing and post-processing. Its flagship product is ANSA pre-processor and µETA post-processor package, that come along with a number of CAD data translators. The company introduced recently a new software product, called SPDRM (Simulation Process Data and Resources Manager), for the orchestration of simulation workflows. These software tools are known and deployed in sectors such as the: automotive, rail vehicles, aerospace, motorsports, ship building, chemical processes, energy, defense, heavy machinery, electronics, power tools, biomedical and academic.
