Controversy

Although the videos featured on the show underwent some censorship, the content has sparked considerable debate. Reports from the Associated Press highlight that certain figures within the hip-hop community, including Big Boi from Outkast, have criticized the show for its potentially offensive and overly sexualized nature, likening it to soft pornography. Similarly, representatives from historically black institutions, including Spelman College and Essence Magazine, have expressed concerns that the show's erotic content breaches the boundaries of appropriateness. Despite these controversies, the show has managed to retain a certain level of popularity.

Revival Prank

On August 5, 2015, BET announced that Uncut would return, with the first new episode airing the following Tuesday, August 11, at 11:00 PM EDT.

However, when that time came, after a brief teaser intro, BET instead announced that the whole thing was the first prank leading up to the revival of Punk'd the next week, once again reaffirming that Uncut is gone for good.
