Aziz A. Nabaty (Arabic عزيز نباتي Kurdish عه‌زیز نه‌باتی Syric Aramaic ܥܙܝܙ ܢܒܬܝ; August 12, 1949 in Ankawa - November 5, 2012 in Erbil) is an Assyrian writer, translator, and historian. Published various books, his most famous are (The History of Ankawa) published in 2000 in addition to (The Kurds and Their Rights) translated from French in 1998.

Life

Aziz was born in Ankawa the northern suburb of Erbil the capital of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, he studied the elementary school in Ankawa then he moved to Mosul to study Philosophy and Theology in St. John Institution.

Career

Aziz Nabaty started writing articles in mid-1970s, his articles handled different historical, religious, and literature subjects. He published/translated 5 books. Aziz Nabaty died on November 5, 2002
