Azendoo is a web-based collaborative task management software created in Bordeaux, France in December 2010 by Benoit Droulin, Christophe Gagin and Grégory Lefort. Azendoo enables its users to communicate, collaborate on tasks and share documents from multiple integrated services including Evernote, Box, Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive. Azendoo is a Software as a Service that can be subscribed after a free trial period. Azendoo is accessible from web-browsers, desktop applications (Windows and Mac), and mobile applications (Android and iOS).

History

Azendoo was first released in June 2012, followed by a fundraising campaign that raised 700,000 euros. In January 2013, the software won the The Next Web “Best Web Application 2013”. In October 2014, Azendoo won the Evernote “Best Multi-Platform Award”. In January 2016, Azendoo changed its business model from freemium to enterprise trial, subscription-based model. In April 2016, Azendoo was nominated laureate of CMIT, and released its new mobile application on iOS and Android.

Features

Over the last 2 years, Azendoo added several new features to the application interface based on users' feedback. These features are presented below in chronological order.

  • In February and April 2013, Azendoo partnered with Evernote, Box, Dropbox and Google to help users centralize and share information confidentially.
  • In February 2014, its Ambassadors program was launched.
  • In February 2015, the Guest functionality was introduced.
  • In May 2015, its new version called Task Pilot was released.
  • In August 2015, the Direct Message feature was announced.
  • In October 2015, Azendoo integrated Zapier. Then, it released the Dashboard functionality.
  • In November 2015, the Calendar feature was introduced.
  • In April 2016, the mention feature was released.
  • In May 2016, Azendoo integrated OneDrive to allow users to share documents stored on Microsoft's cloud solution.
  • Fund raising

  • In July 2015, Azendoo raised 1.5 million dollars from TheFamily, Thibault Poutrel and Arnaud Vinciguerra.
